Doubya what?

Just look at that man. He looks clueless. He can\’t even flip Clinton off correctly – look at those three fingers! He looks like he\’s perpetually lying, and displeased, and constipated. What has him so constipated? The gigantic hand that\’s lodged far up his ass, moving him about like a puppet. Who\’s controlling him? We\’ll find out soon in these next four hard years.

Standing in the freezing cold and dampness, listening to this man\’s inaugration speech drone on and on (though it lasted only 14 minutes), I got a sense of utter fear. Who\’s controlling the country now? Seriously, think about this for a moment… George W. Bush hasn\’t got a lick of sense to him. His grammar is atrocious, he speaks in contradictions, he uses words as incorrectly has his fathers\’ Vice President. He did terribly in the debates and in answering any questions for himself. His speeches are marginally better, though the delivery gives one the impression that even the speaker doesn\’t know what he\’s talking about. This man oozes of fakeness.

So who the hell is in charge of the country now? Who is it that is using George W. Bush as a lifelike puppet? Who\’s deciding our fate?

His inauguration speech said all of the right things… citizens need to be a part of their community again, and look out for one another and be active in helping others through community service, knowing our neighbors again, etc. That\’s all fine and dandy, but it\’s always amazed me how upperclass Republicans who never lift a finger for anyone else unless they are running for office, preach to the middle and working classes about how to be involved. Do as I say, not as I do. More rhetoric that won\’t be followed.

One of Bush\’s first actions is to send a bill to Congress to lower taxes. I\’ve always wondered how Republicans expect community services like roads, schools, shelters, clinics and hospitals to run without federal involvement. Do they really expect people to get out there and build highways and schools with their own money? What about the people who can\’t afford to send their kids to private schools? Republicans want to lower taxes and better public schools… but where is the money for this public facility going to come from? The Republican\’s personal bank accounts? No. Money pulled from a magic tophat would be more likely.

Four years of contradictions, lies, intolerance, and one ugly puppet. Move to Canada if you can. Move anywhere. It\’s going to get ugly here, in the good old U.S. of Assholes.
