The U.S. federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that mentally ill inmates can be forced to take anti-psychotics in order to be sane enough to be executed.

I stopped taking my prescription anti-psychotic, Risperdal, a few days ago. Don\’t piss me off or I\’ll get wicked on your ass, though apparently that doesn\’t matter anymore because if I end up in prison they can just strap me down and shoot me full of anti-psychotics against my will. They can also take me to court and say I willfully stopped taking my medication — though if you think about it, if you need this medication in order to be \”sane,\” and you\’ve been on it for years and it has supposedly kept you sane, but then you decide to just go off it out of the blue, isn\’t that the sign of an \”insane\” person, because don\’t sane people want to remain sane? Something to ponder.

My shrink upped my Lamictal (a mood stabilizer) and added Effexor (an SSRI, sort of an anti-depressant) to my cocktail two weeks ago. I began to feel the effects last week, around the same time I hurt my leg and ended up in bed for a few days. Great timing, but better than not happening at all. I feel good fairly good now (and to please my shrink, I am hopeful, looking forward to things, socializing, and doing my homework — yeah, right) and have a laptop from which I can get some shit done from bed. Finally.

In the next few days I am either going to have some amazingly good news or a huge let down and loads of frustration. Fingers crossed for the former.

I was given business cards as a late Christmas present. They say \”Inamorata Productions: prophylactics, psychiatrics, and erratic static\” on them. If I can ever remember how to do HTML and work Photoshop 6 again, I will have to redesign my site appropriately. The cards list some of my projects on the back, all of which I gave up on during the past month. I suppose I will have to attempt to resurrect them now, or the cards will go to waste. Anybody want comp CDs?

Oh, and I am having a moving sale, because yes — I am moving soon, and everything must go. I should have a bit of a list together later today, and I\’ll post it here (actually using lj-cut for once) before I put anything on the evil auction empire. I\’d rather sell direct than pay listing fees. Come on, it\’s the \”perpetual multi-subcultural yard sale\” back in effect and I\’m Selling Out My Past. It needs to be sold, anyway. Computer software, clothes from the club days, books, lord, whatever else I have in those boxes. Please take it all away; I never want to see it again.
