Last night the Chief told me I looked like the Artful Dodger.
I grew up with Disney\’s \’Oliver & Company\’ as my favorite movie. I was seven when it came out in 1988. It was the movie that made me want to move to New York. Who did I identify with? Not the little girl, not even Oliver (voiced by a very young Joey Lawrence), but Billy Joel\’s sassy Dodger.
I still have the soundtrack on vinyl.
Dodger doesn\’t worry about getting the girl, mind you. And while he looks like a punk, under it all, he has a heart of gold. Plus, he boogies with Cheech Marin.
