Wowzers. Raynaud\’s phenomenon, a disease that I severely suffer from and whom very few people know about, actually made the cover of the Health section of the Washington Post today.
Raynaud\’s, combined with my arthritis, is why I never want to leave the house during the winter, and am seriously considering moving to Puerto Rico as these D.C. winters seem to just keep getting worse and worse.
It\’s 50 degrees outside, barely, and I\’m wearing thermals, jeans, a t-shirt, a sweater, two layers of socks, and I have the space heater going right under my ass, but I still cannot feel my feet or my right hand (which is closest to the window). But I\’m going to Florida next month for a weekend of respite. Thank god. Until then, I hibernate.
